What is the difference between Nanoblading and Microblading?
These are both forms of Semi Permanent Makeup, they are different techniques. Lacey only offers Nanoblading to create the Ombre Brow as Nanoblading suits all skin types and lasts longer. The look is more of a defined makeup look and uses a small needle to insert the pigment into the skin, whereas Microblading doesnt always suit all skin types and doesnt last as long. This method is done by using a blade to cut pigment into the skin and creates a much more natural appearance.

Everyone’s pain threshold is different however I use a local numbing agent to make the treatment comfortable. I would never say it’s painful, it can just be slightly uncomfortable in certain areas.
How long will my brows take to heal?
Your semi permanent makeup will go through stages. Everyone heals differently however following correct aftercare is extremely important.
Your colour may appear slightly darker and harsher than expected, this will soften. They will form a scab on them and become dry/flaky. You must ensure you do not pick.
Once the scabs have come away, you may find your semi permanent makeup has disappeared, do not be disheartened. This is normal.
After around 3-4 weeks the colour will resurface and your skin regenerates. If there are any patches or unevenness, this will be tweaked during your top up.
What is the after care for Ombré Brows?
Your aftercare will be explained to you in detail once your treatment has been completed. The motto is ‘clean and dry’ for two weeks.
- wipe any fluid seen after the treatment. This is lymph and you need to get rid of it.
- it is very important to keep the area completely dry for 14 days.
- limit time spent in the shower as the steam will open the pores.
- do not scratch, pick or rub the area. This will simply undo the work that has been done.
- do not use makeup on the area for 14 days.
- no excessive sweating for 14 days.
- no sun exposure
- no strong skin treatments
